Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 Tire priced from $106.00 to $250.00. Blizzak LM-22 studless winter tires were developed to combine good snow and ice traction with European high-speed winter driving performance. Available in low profile, H-speed rated sizes; Blizzak LM-22 tires are for the drivers of high performance sport cars, sport coupes and sport sedans who require winter driving traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roads. Blizzak LM-22 studless winter tires feature a directional tread design to enhance hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads with rounded tread shoulders to enhance dry and wet road handling. Their tread compound has a high silica content instead of the Multicell tread compounds used on other Blizzak winter tires. This allows Blizzak LM-22 tires to combine winter traction with H-speed rated durability (current Multicell compounds can not support 130 mph H-speed ratings). The Blizzak LM-22 tires feature an independent block tread design which employs the Lamellen "edge ..."

Whether you’re looking for new tires for your sedan, sports car, truck or SUV, selecting tires couldn’t be easier. Not sure if you need new tires? There’s a simple test that you can perform that will let you know whether or not you do. Insert a penny head first into the tire where it’s showing the most wear, and if the tread is not deep enough to at least touch the top of Lincoln’s head then you should replace it.

All four tires should be the same brand, line, size and speed rating. Because of this, it’s always best to purchase all four tires at the same time. If you’re only looking to replace one or two, on the other hand, exchange them with the exact same tire as the others, and keep in mind that new tires should be installed on the rear axle. You must also consider the size of the tire because you don’t want one that’s either too large or too small. Undersized tires will have difficulty carrying the weight of the vehicle and its load, while oversized tires can cause serious problems with handling and steering. Information about your tires is imprinted directly on the tire, but if you’ve bought a used car, also check the owner’s manual as the wrong sized tires may have been put on.

The conditions in which you drive and your driving style are also important considerations when it comes to choosing tires. For winter driving, a good set of winter or all season tires can be key, otherwise driving at this time of year can be perilous. If you drive on ice, slush, or unplowed snow, winter tires are best because they’ll provide you with extra traction, braking and handling, and are designed with a special tread to handle cold temperatures and prevent snow buildup. If you’re often fishtailing or spinning out during the winter months, winter tires will solve this. All season tires, on the other hand, are not designed for one weather condition. Instead, they’re designed to be adequate in all weather. For driving in a particularly wet climate or in a location that gets a relatively small amount of snow, all season tires may be right for you.
